What is there was no 'tragedy of the commons'? What if that entire idea was put forward by apologists for the enclosures movement: people that were looking for any slim straw to hang their free-market and private-ownership philosophy on?

What if public land was not much less efficiently maintained than private land pre-enclosures?

What if we've all been brainwashed into believing that having genuinely publicly owned assets can never work?


But we all know about the so-called 'Tragedy of the Commons'.. it is common sense, after all.. *raised eyebrow*
